Susan Stall

program director

Susan Stall is a community volunteer who devotes her time and resources to creating a more just and equitable world for all people. She served on the board of JustFaith Ministries (headquartered in Louisville, KY) for 8 years and is currently a member of the leadership team shepherding the organization through a change management process to become an anti-racist, anti-white supremacist organization. Susan credits her first JustFaith group, formed in 2009, with shifting the trajectory of her life. Susan notes that “The powerful program and the small group of faithful people with whom I shared the journey helped me align my calendar and my checkbook with my heart for justice and compassion.”

Through her role as the Program Director of Village Engage, Susan is serving as the Lead Organizer for the statewide coalition of the SC Fair Lending Alliance -   a statewide coalition working to cap interest rates on loans in SC at 36%.

Susan is excited to be working throughout the state with people who are passionate about removing barriers of oppression that prevent people from attaining financial freedom and economic mobility.

Alecia Brewster

Senior justice consultant

Alecia is working with Village Engage to support existing JustFaith groups, identify new groups and develop a plan for continued expansion in Greenville. Inspired by her experiences piloting the EcoJustice: Sacred Land module and the Spirituality and Racial Equity module, Alecia is now committed to offering these opportunities to everyone in our community and to serving on JustFaith Ministries' Board of Directors.

Alecia works tirelessly at the intersection of faith, race and poverty. In addition to working with Village Engage, Alecia leads the Greenville Mentoring Collaborative and is Tri-Chair of South Carolina's Poor People's Campaign. When Alecia is not out working to advance equity and justice, you'll find her in the Pilates studio or spending time with her children Zora, Zachary Jr, and Alissa.
